  • Souper Bowl of Caring

    Sunday, February 3 | Soup & Salad Lunch 11:00am - 1:00pm

Join the fight against hunger. Help our neighbors in need by helping your Sunday School class outscore the competition with contributions to the North Texas Food Bank for purchase of soup and other canned goods. Three points awarded per dollar.

Because the North Texas Food Bank can purchase in bulk, monetary donations are preferred, but donations of cans - for the ROC Food Pantry - will also be accepted for one point each.

First Youth will collect checks (payable to "First UMC Garland" with "Souper Bowl" in the memo line), cash and cans from Sunday School rooms on February 3.

Soup and Salad Lunch follows with servings at 11:00am and noon. Lunch includes homemade soups and salads, grilled cheese sandwiches, crackers, tea and lemonade. (Adult Sunday School classes, please bring two desserts to share.)
